The story

A wild weekend on this island forgotten by man. An African tear of rock and sand, surrounded by a deep blue sea, crystal-clear waters and lashed by a gentle, relentless wind.

Fuerteventura recalls the landscapes of the western Sahara, with dunes plunging over the cold Atlantic Ocean, goats grazing on the inhospitable ground and an almost total absence of vegetation, the horizon scored by the enormous volcanic cones that gave it birth.

Once we reached the small airport, overlooking the waters of the eastern coast, we headed straight north, towards the fantastic dunes of Corralejo, with its little "pueblo", looking out towards Lanzarote and the tiny island of Lobos.

To the south the beaches become vast and perhaps even more spectacular; Jandía, the southern peninsula, is truly the quintessence of the Atlantic beach, with sands stretching over a blue sea and forming little turquoise lagoons.

Around here, sun, light, sea, a cool breeze and plenty of relaxation are the very synonym of a holiday in the name of nature and tranquillity, a way to switch off from everything and everyone without flying for over 10 hours east or west.

An island to discover and to enjoy.
