The story

Bratislava is literally at the crossroads between eastern and western Europe. Just a few kilometres from the borders of the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary. And it was in Bratislava that we stayed to visit the three capitals in one go. Slovakia's capital is a small but young, active and dynamic city. You can stay up late sitting in a bar or spend the afternoons in one of the countless parks surrounding it. The centre is a little gem surrounded by walls and topped by the castle. Not to be missed is an outing and a meal in the Little Carpathians immediately behind the city and dominated by the imposing socialist-style television tower, today converted into a capitalist restaurant (very expensive...sob). In short, Bratislava is the right city for those who want to relax by day and have fun in the evening.
