Our Portugal tour starts from Lisbon, we chose Turisanda to have everything organised, perhaps a bit expensive, but everything extremely perfect, we found a special guide, Antonio Lobo, who gave us lessons in culture and in life. The arrival in Lisbon with a Tap flight from Malpensa, the only half-day of sunshine that the city granted us. Then lots of water.... spoiling our photos a little and giving us a different colour of the city. Excellent the AC hotel, near the Palacio Sotomayor, in the area of Parque Eduardo II, near the Piazza of the Marquis of Pombal, where we savoured the first bacalhau of our trip. Lisbon would deserve much more than the time we dedicated to it...
anyway we saw the Rossio area several times, full of little restaurants for all tastes; with the guide we went to the Alfama district, experiencing the thrill of the legendary tram 28 and, in the rain, strolling through the characteristic uphill alleys. Very beautiful the Expo area, back in the centre we climbed onto the Elevador de Santa Giusta, from above the azulejos (the coloured tiles) outline all the pavements. Majestic the monastery of San Gerolamo in Belem, also worth seeing is the legendary Torre de Belem, the starting point towards America, but an incredible wind mixed with rain kept us at a distance after destroying our umbrellas. We return to Lisbon at the end of the week, on the way back, and the city welcomes us again under a deluge.
