The first flight for our 4-year-old child: he is hugely excited. The island of Malta: a mix of England and Arab countries. Of the English there is certainly the cuisine, not always impeccable, but we like the local flavours, different from the usual. The sea is stunning, a deep blue that captivates. The little towns are very beautiful, Valletta, the strange natural pools of Sliema (large basins carved out of the rock to protect bathers from the waves and the depth of the sea); the island of Gozo, with its megalithic temples of Ggantja, where a few bougainvillea flowers peek out among the rocks; the Blue Lagoon between the islands of Comino and Cominotto, a dip into green-blue-blue...we had never seen a sea like it. Of course, the photos belong by now to another era, the technology isn't today's, and not only the technology.......
