The story

Situated at the foot of the Euganean Hills, it's the main centre of the Euganean Spa, known since Roman times. Abano Terme stands in an extinct volcanic area. The main activity is tourism linked to the spa establishments, tied to its chlorinated-sodium bromide-iodide lithium, radioactive thermal waters (87 °C), known since antiquity. The waters come from the Alps and, flowing underground, gush out from the Poggio di Montirone. Here you always feel on holiday, there are tourists almost all year round. In the area there are many typical restaurants and small trattorias, perhaps on the top of some hill, from which to enjoy wonderful views
