The story

Monte Baldo has the peculiarity of being made up of a ridge parallel to Lake Garda that stretches for 40 km between Lake Garda to the west and the Adige valley to the east. It is the second time we have gone up Monte Baldo; as an alternative to the beautiful (but rather expensive) cable car that rises from Malcesine we choose the chairlift that rises from Pra Alpesina. Coming up from this side you get more of the feeling of going into the mountains; from the lake side the ascent is so short that the sudden change of landscape is disconcerting. At altitude there are many trails, more or less easy to walk, wonderful views towards the lake, and several refreshment points.
