The story

(Distance from home 208 km). An improvised departure, but not for me, to make up for a celebration that had to be postponed for reasons beyond our control. The outward journey is absolutely to be forgotten, as it coincided with the exodus of the "Romans" for the San Pietro and Paolo long weekend, which caused us a journey of over 5 hours when it should have lasted at most 2 and a half. To those who like places cut off from the world I highly recommend the agriturismo found on the Internet, "Barbicate", located a few kilometres from Saturnia and its thermal baths; moreover the property also has an agreement with the baths and allows discounts on entry.

Very likeable is Mrs Roberta, the owner of the agriturismo, where we felt wonderful and where we will certainly return to spend days of absolute rest and relaxation and then.....anyone who has been to Tuscany cannot forget or fail to know the delights of the table that this splendid land within everyone's reach can offer, where you manage to feel human relationships, so hard to find again in the frenetic life of every day. We highly recommend, besides the actual thermal baths, taking a dip in the natural waterfalls of the Gorello, which are free (at least until then) and above all....natural more than ever. In my opinion it is an excellent idea, very close (at least from Rome), for spending a very nice weekend.
