(Distance from home 1446 km) While "passing through" Brittany and Normandy, we took the opportunity to visit the transalpine capital. Setting local pride aside, Paris is a wonderful city, full of art and a marvellous atmosphere. You only need to mention and visit the Louvre, where a single day would be too little to admire the treasures it holds, to understand the greatness of the French capital, with the Eiffel Tower impassively keeping watch over the city with its shape reaching upwards. Notre-Dame, the Latin Quarter, the Pantheon, the Sacré-Cœur, Père Lachaise cemetery, the artists' quarter of Montmartre, the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe and the bateaux mouches, not to mention what we couldn't visit due to time constraints. And in the evening it's truly enchanting, with lights that soak the monuments in a wonderful romanticism. Paris is well worth a mass!
