(398 km from home). The famous tower of Pisa. A feeling that, years later, is still clearly imprinted in my mind. 2006 was a summer in which we visited practically almost all of Tuscany, and we couldn't leave this splendid region without paying a visit to Pisa, famous for its tower. Anyone who has been there will show you those hilarious photos in which, with supreme effort, they hold up the tower. You turn around in the square and all you see are people with cameras giving directions to someone for the ritual pose (not even we could escape this tradition).
Piazza dei Miracoli is truly spectacular, even though it has to be said that apart from that Pisa doesn't offer much — but does that seem little to you? Climbing the tower is something unique and you absolutely cannot leave without going up — it would be a crime! The final thought on this outing is that Italy is too beautiful and offers something miraculous everywhere. Happy travels.
