The story

(416 km from home) - Foreword: unfortunately, and I stress unfortunately, it was a bit of a disappointment. We set off by local train from Porretta Terme with a very scenic landscape along the way through the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Given the charm that the very name of this city stirs, we were a little disappointed, but that feeling is the surprise that lies behind every trip: we're still convinced that a few hours aren't enough to form a definitive opinion, and we hope that next time this city will manage to strike us positively. Still, it's very nice to stroll under the famous porticoes and look out from the town hall over Piazza Maggiore (unfortunately we didn't have time to go into the Basilica of San Petronio).
