The historic regatta

Camper rally organised by the "Canaletto Camper Club" (meeting at the car park in Padua at the Foro Boario of Prato della Valle. On Saturday the programme included a bike tour of the City of Padua to visit its most important monuments, and in the evening a visit to the illuminated walls; unfortunately, because of the rain, we had to tour the city on foot. It was lovely all the same, even though the rain didn't let up for a single moment. On Saturday evening we moved to Vigonza, to the Club's headquarters: a group dinner as only campers know how, pasta generously provided by the organiser plus plenty we brought ourselves. On Sunday the historic regatta on the Brenta, a continuation of the more important one in Venice, was cancelled due to bad weather. Some went to visit old villas, I and others preferred to go home; we'd had enough of the rain.
