Taking advantage of the Eurochocolate 2008 event, we decide to spend a weekend in Umbria to admire and taste the local beauties...
The event, I must admit, disappointed me a little... I thought I'd find myself facing the triumph of chocolate also from an aesthetic and choreographic point of view... I hoped to admire sculptures and waterfalls of chocolate... and instead nothing:o( just lots of stands scattered through the streets of Perugia selling chocolates and chocolate bars... all of it "shared" with thousands of people forming a veritable river of humanity that often made it impossible to get near the stands!!! I must say, to be fair, that it was the last day, so it may also have already been a bit in the "dismantling" phase...
As a compensation the places are wonderful, worthy of being revisited with more calm and more time.
For anyone wanting to visit Perugia and its surroundings, I warmly recommend the "Colle San Paolo" farm stay, it's all very new, there are very nice apartments, spacious and well furnished, and the girls who run it are friendly, extremely kind and truly welcoming...all at a super competitive price... I'll leave you the link... you won't regret it
