The story

Three days in Barcelona....

We set off with few expectations... the city did not inspire either of us, but as lovers of travel the important thing is to pack your bags and leave.... always ready to be proved wrong and surprised! Unfortunately, though, that was not the case.... I am sorry but personally Barcelona did not enter our hearts... it did not amaze me and perhaps I would not go back! One aspect that I certainly consider negative, beyond subjective judgements, is the excessive cost of entry to the monuments: Casa Batlló €18 each; Casa Milà €15 each; Sagrada Família €13 each (St Peter's is FREE!!).... not to be tight-fisted because, above all for the joy of my husband, I completely disprove the saying... but they seem a bit excessive for what they offer, especially compared to museums like the Louvre (€15) or the Vatican Museums (€15)...

nothing to take away from Gaudí's genius, but personally it seemed a little excessive!

That said, every trip enriches you and so I do not regret having gone to visit this very famous city and destination of SO MANY tourists, but let's say I came home without that melancholy that usually marks my returns.
