Land of Sicily: Ancient and Sun-Baked

Returning to Sicily in periods far from the August chaos is simply a delight. The occasion was the wedding of Teresa and Tato in Caltagirone, so we combined business with pleasure. A tour among green and fascinating mountains and a long journey through wonderful places unique in the world. The feeling I had visiting Noto is indescribable. The birthplace of the Baroque presents itself in all its magnificence. The sanctuary of Tindari is a little marvel, as are its Greek remains from an antiquity still alive, with the Aeolian Islands within sight. The interior of my land, hard to visit in August, takes hold of you and makes you admire places of an ancient and mystical beauty. Etna, with its mighty bulk, already capped with white, fascinates you. To finish, Taormina, a unique and marvellous place, which in these periods gifts you with breathtaking views and panoramas.

The feast of the Crucifix in Forza D'Agrò is distinctive. Oh land of Sicily, ancient and sun-baked, farewell.
