A day spent walking on the Asiago Plateau, also known as the Plateau of the Seven Communes. It lies in the province of Vicenza, between the Po Valley and the mountains to the south of Valsugana. An area rich in malghe (alpine farms) — there are more than 90 of them — which together form the largest and most important alpine grazing system in the entire Alpine arc. This year they also reopened the malga of Campo Muletto, where, as in the others, you can taste the area's typical cheeses ("asiago"), sopressa and polenta. It's also a well-known tourist area for winter sports, although unfortunately the ski lifts haven't been modernised and there isn't snowmaking everywhere....a little more investment wouldn't hurt this beautiful mountain of ours in the Veneto.
