Dolomites 2008: a short holiday cut short by rain

A short holiday in the Dolomites; unfortunately it was very short, the bad weather forced us to return early. The first stop was Forni di Sopra; we stopped at the rest area near the cable car (6 €) Then before Auronzo, at a nice campsite on the riverbank, the International Camping of Cologna at Domegge di Cadore (where we stayed for 2 days (€ 42), a walk in the village for shopping and in the woods for photos. Hoping for good weather we reached Lake Misurina; we didn't stop in the camper rest area but at the campsite 'Alla Baita' (20 €) (after parking on very uneven ground, we used the levelling blocks to try to get it level, we headed for the lake to take a walk and take some photos; back soon after because of the rain; in the afternoon another attempt....... we got caught right in it, we came back soaked. At that point we decided to go home....
