If it were February, March or even April I could understand, but the height of June!!!! The rain accompanied us constantly from the very first step we took in Siena. Anyway, after parking the car in the Porta Camollia area (to avoid paying €1.60 an hour for public parking) we made our way into the city through a small gate a short distance from it and headed for the centre along Via Banchi di Sopra, which is more or less the main artery of Siena. Walking past the historic headquarters of Monte dei Paschi and Piazza dei Tolomei, we finally emerged into Piazza del Campo, still accompanied by the pouring rain. Very slowly we then arrived at the Cathedral, pausing at the splendid Palazzo Chigi-Saracini. The rain only slowed us down — it takes far more to stop us...

che nostalgia, rivedere la bella Siena! comunque anche quando ci sono stata io pioveva uno giorno sì e l'altro pure ( ai primi di agosto)
