The story
On the way back from Milan, a relaxing stop on Lake Garda, a town we'd already visited several times, but an inviting, beautiful day advised us to see it again. The municipal campsite was closed, one car park was limited to cars, with a barrier at 2 metres, another car park beyond the state road was open and without barriers; we took advantage of it at once; another camper was already there, then others joined, and moreover, being out of season, it was free. Fortune had it that: a district was celebrating the “First of Lent” with a tasting of fried small fish and pasta with beans, at the modest cost of 2 euros per portion, and a ragtag little band played through the district's streets.
