The weather is good so we decide to head for the sea; first stop: Marano Lagunare, located in Friuli but with a Venetian dialect; besides the port with fishing boats specialised in fishing for molluscs and other types of fish, one visits the historic centre with houses and churches of clearly Venetian origin. Very interesting is the visit to the Regional Nature Reserve "Valle Canal Novo", which I recommend in the spring period with the migration of various types of birds, which stop here as a stage before continuing north. As for parking there are no problems; you can stop along the port or cross the bridge and park at the tourist port, less noisy, where we spent the night waiting for a couple of friends who would arrive on Saturday morning with their camper.
On Saturday with our friends we went to Caorle; the car park is in the market square at the back of the sports field, unfortunately still occupied by the market stalls, so we stopped on the side avenue with dozens of other campers; after lunch and the inevitable nap, the square had cleared and was immediately taken over by numerous campers, ourselves included. Visit to the town, very touristy, but with old houses, all renovated, a nice seafront with its characteristic sculptures on the rocks of the cliff, a large beach by now abandoned by summer bathers. Before returning to the campers, I buy, at a rotisserie, a mixed fried fish with chips for everyone, which we'll then heat up in the oven; dinner on our camper, a bit of chatting in company, a little glass and then off to bed.
On Sunday morning I had a problem: the square with a hundred or so campers parked has no drain either for grey water or for black water (the poo) and mine was full; we had to go to a campsite in Jesolo Lido, where for € 5.00 I could get rid of that unpleasant load. For lunch Valerio, the friend with the other camper, takes us to Mussa, a beautiful spot with a huge car park, where we didn't pay because it's out of season, with a grassy surface: Schizzo had fun running around free from danger; besides a dense pine wood there's a free beach where some bathers were sunbathing. Towards evening, after saying goodbye to our friends with the promise of seeing each other again soon, we head home.
