As every year, I go to Sirmione for the treatments at the Catullo thermal baths in Sirmione on Lake Garda. As a fixed stopping point I parked, with the camper, in the car park at Piazzale Baldo, the last one on the right before the old town; the daily cost is € 21, and for those who, like me, are taking the treatments there is a subscription for 12 days at € 160 - to get the discount you need to bring a certificate issued by the thermal centre.
Besides visiting Sirmione with its historic centre and medieval castle, by boat I visited the Isola del Garda, very beautiful and interesting, steeped in history explained by three lovely girls in three different languages, now owned by the Cavazza family, which from May to September opens its treasures to guided tours, a route of about two hours through untouched vegetation, English and Italian gardens with some rooms of the evocative villa in neo-Gothic Venetian style. At the end we were offered a small tasting of typical products: olive oil, wine and various snacks; anyone who wanted could buy them - quality products, but very expensive.
