These were our holidays in Sardinia in 2001; we liked them and we will certainly return, in the future, to this beautiful island. Of course everything is very subjective: what we liked may not be shared by others and vice versa. It wasn't very tiring, the daily kilometres to cover are few, the roads are two-lane and not very wide, often in the mountains with bends and hairpins; we had no major problems, except the parking and traffic bans in certain villages or towns, which, unfortunately, leave a bitter taste and a sense of anger and helplessness against those authorities who put up those much-hated signs. For the ferry we used the Linea dei Golfi; you travel on deck and can stay on the camper; if you board between Friday evening and Sunday evening you pay 50% more; since it certainly wasn't the day of our return, we didn't take a return ticket, in which case we would have saved.
We spent, for the whole holiday, £. 2.800.000, and that figure includes everything: ferries, diesel, motorways, car parks and camping, food (even the cats eat), restaurants and various.
