The story

Bordano (Bordan in Friulian) is a municipality of 786 inhabitants in the province of Udine. It is known as the village of butterflies for the remarkable presence in late spring of several species of this insect and for the murals that cover the houses. Worth visiting is the "House of Butterflies", where you can admire several tropical ecosystems and their elements. The route passes through the African rainforest, then the Asian one and finally the Amazonian one, where you can admire and learn the stories of many unusual guests, such as the gigantic and rare rhino iguana, the flying foxes (large fruit-eating bats that look like little dogs), the lungfish (primitive fish that breathe with their lungs) and the forest hermit crabs (land crabs that live inside a shell).

Obviously all plants and animals are alive in their natural habitat, like the hundreds of butterflies free to fly inside the greenhouses and many other insects.
