The story

There exists, in a corner of my native Sicily, a little paradise, where unique flavours, smells, colours and sensations intertwine. This little paradise is called LETOJANNI, my birthplace. Every year, in summer, it is here that I "take refuge" with my family: Letojanni is in the province of Messina, three km from Taormina. It is my favourite Eden and it is here that I find again old flavours, old sensations and so much peace. It is a town lying for 4 km along the Ionian coast between Capo Taormina and Capo Sant'Alessio, between Messina and Catania, with Calabria to the north-east and the Peloritani mountains behind it. A summer holiday resort and more, where you get the sensation, especially in the less crowded periods, of an indescribable calm and serenity. Family affections, friends from my youth help me spend a month of pure enjoyment.

The sea may not be the Maldives, but it is my sea, blue as the sky and always there for me.... forever I will walk on these beaches... between sand and foam... the high tide will erase the footprints... the wind will dissolve the foam... but sea and beach will remain... forever, just as love will remain alive, the Great Love. If only prices would come down and the relationship with tourists improved, it would be a paradise.
