Saints, Truffles and Flowers

(212 km from home). A weekend spent among villages of saints, abundant truffle feasts and brightly coloured views. We had heard a great deal about the famous flowering of Castelluccio di Norcia and although, according to many, this year is not a good 'year' for the phenomenon, I would say the sight was equally remarkable. A good excuse to come back and see it in better times.
