Pienza on a Cloudy Afternoon

I had already been to this charming village before. What strikes you most is certainly the view over the hills of the Val d'Orcia up to Monte Morello and beyond. Unfortunately it wasn't the best day to admire it and so we decided to visit the Palazzo Piccolomini, the summer residence of Pope Pius II and his family: the visit is done with an audio guide and the reduced price for students is 5 euros (a bit pricey in my opinion); inside there are original furnishings, paintings and tapestries; from the loggia there is a beautiful view and you can also visit the garden.
