Day trip to Pisa with my eleven-year-old brother. Once we reached Piazza dei Miracoli we booked the climb up the Leaning Tower for the modest sum of 15 euros each: a truly steep price, there are no discounts of any kind! Luckily we were able to enter the cathedral for free since it was Good Friday. While we waited we wandered along the Arno embankment. We visited an interesting and free exhibition on the universe at Palazzo Blu. Before climbing the tower you have to leave backpacks and bags in lockers, you can only bring a camera. Several staff check that there are no problems and the time for the visit is rather short, but I must say that overall the visit is striking. Very funny when you climb the steps but move on the flat. Absolutely to be avoided, however, if you suffer from vertigo, it really has an effect leaning out at the top.
Before leaving there is time to buy a few souvenirs at one of the countless stalls in the square.
