The story

Tour of the Resegone

Above Lecco, 40 minutes from Milan, stands the Resegone, a distinctive mountain of the Lombard Prealps also mentioned by Alessandro Manzoni. The Resegone owes its name to its typical jagged shape. "resega" in Milanese dialect in fact means "saw". How to get there: once in Lecco continue towards Ballabio along the Strada Statale della Valsassina. Near Ballabio turn right for Morterone and follow the fifteen kilometres of provincial road. From the summit you can admire the Brianza and the lakes, Monte Rosa, the Grigne, the Po Valley and the Apennines.
