The story

Having arrived in Algeciras, we decide to visit the British state, but we run into several difficulties, because since 1969 the British colony has closed the border with Spain, and therefore in order to enter you need to:

1) Take a ferry to Algeria (with the queue and the crossing it takes half a day), and you need a visa for Algeria (in fact it would be possible from Ceuta, also in Africa but of Spanish nationality, though you need to book and buy the ferry ticket in advance).

2) Ferry back from Tangier to Gibraltar, you need a visa for the State of Gibraltar.

3) You need to find somewhere to sleep, either in the State of Gibraltar (where there are no campsites) or in Algeria.

4Take the ferry back to Tangier and then to Spain.

In the end, after queueing a little, we talk to some Italian campers on their way back to hear whether all this hassle is worth it. The result is that we decide to continue the itinerary in Spain.
