(Distance from home 1543 km) A city where everything has a particular charm. At the same time, everything seems tied to the past and to memory but also projected in a slender way towards the future. We were able to admire this city over the Immaculate Conception long weekend, in the full swing of the Christmas markets which at every corner made you breathe a magical and special air. The cold greeted us in a rather unfriendly way but the desire to see and explore this immense city didn't discourage us for even a moment. The final verdict is certainly positive and the advice to visit this enigmatic and fascinating capital is warm. The trip was self-organised via the internet: AirBerlin flight from Rome Fiumicino, a comfortable B&B on the Ku'damm found via Booking (Alte Maison Galerie, which is listed as a hotel but is essentially a guesthouse).
A tip on the guide to use: the National Geographic one is very detailed and dynamic, offering advice on routes and much more up to date than others. Absolutely not to be missed: Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, the climb up the TV tower, Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz, East Side Gallery, Schloss Charlottenburg, Checkpoint Charlie.... Have a good trip
