The story

I, Lele (my boyfriend), with my brother, Giorgia and little Giacomo (my fantastic little nephew), set off on the morning of 1 April very early from Genoa for Nice airport, where the plane to PARIS awaits us!!! Easyjet airline.... I warmly recommend it to everyone... as a low-cost airline it's really good!! Arriving in Paris we immediately take the train that brings us to the central metro station, where we easily work out which line we need to take to get off at the stop for our hotel, which we reach after no small difficulty.... getting around by metro and then on foot (the hotel wasn't exactly convenient...) with suitcases and a 4-year-old child is no simple matter!!:o) As soon as we're settled in the hotel we go out, heading straight for the Louvre!! Arriving at the Louvre we discover that on the first Sunday of every month (that very day) entry is completely free....

the queue was in fact endless!! But luck is with us: the security staff, seeing us with a pushchair, let us through, sparing us the slightest queue!!! We're definitely off to a good start!! The Louvre is fantastic, full of famous and incredible works, but to savour it you'd need at least 2 days... we tried to do what we could in half a day... after all, if you only have 3 days you have to be able to give up something!! The day continues in the most classic way... a wander outside the Louvre and then, overcome by tiredness, we go back to the hotel, where we also decide to have dinner because we're quite exhausted! 2nd Day EURODISNEY... the queue is obviously endless but once you manage to get in you forget all the time spent waiting....

for me it was nothing new because I'd already been twice, but the atmosphere you breathe along those avenues wraps you up at once and makes you a child again!! A day of pure fun!!! 3rd Day: it's the turn of the most famous monuments.... we start with the Sacré-Cœur, then go into the evocative setting of Montmartre and its painters... we move on to the Champs-Élysées with the inevitable photo in front of the famous Arc de Triomphe!! It's a race against time....there are so many things to see and so little time... plus with a small child you often have to slow down...but we're in Paris and everything is just fine!!!:o) After a walk along the Champs-Élysées we take the metro towards Notre-Dame Cathedral!! It's stunning and it strikes me at once... we go inside and immediately the first disappointment... as soon as we enter we find a stall selling souvenirs...

but do they know that before being a tourist attraction it's a church, that is, a place of worship???? Oh well... we move on and start admiring everything around us.... obviously photos and filming are forbidden but, as always, everyone has a camera in hand...!! Having left the cathedral we decide to go back to the hotel... a bit of rest and dinner at the foot of the Tour Eiffel!! We had dinner in a crêperie (very French....) and then admired the majesty of the Parisian symbol!! The idea was to try going up... but after queuing for about half an hour we give up... the wind blowing was very strong and icy... it wasn't worth it... so we go back for the last night under the Parisian sky!! 4th day: we leave the room and the luggage in the hotel's storage areas... we only have the morning because in the afternoon we have to head back... we decide to head for the Galeries Lafayette...

a wander inside the imposing department store and then we go towards the "Centre National d'Art et de Culture Georges Pompidou"; we limit ourselves to seeing it from outside because obviously time is pressing... We have time to have lunch nearby and then decide to head for the hotel.... Our holiday is over... but the memory will certainly remain... a little piece to carry inside....

Tip: 4 days are feasible for seeing Paris, but if you have the chance a few more days is definitely better.... there are so many things to see that it's a shame to have to give something up....
