This trip was organised partly by the Camper Club A. Palladio of Vicenza; the initial destination was Saintes Maries de la Mer, where we gathered, coming from various parts of Italy. In the following days we visited the Ornithological Park, visited a farm where buffalo are bred, and watched the catching and branding of the calves. In Avignon, besides the beautiful city, we visited the Palace of the Popes. In Apt, an interesting lavender museum. After the Easter lunch, the gathering ends and many head back to Italy; I, Tina and a couple of friends from Mestre continue to Orange, where there's an important Roman amphitheatre second only to Rome's. We go on to Arles with its ancient Roman buildings. On the way back we stop at Barcelonnette, almost on the border with Italy. Last overnight stop at Sirmione on Lake Garda. km travelled: 2442.
