Croatia: the island of Krk and Rijeka

A different beach every day; we went all over the island, small coves and clean sea, hospitable people, huge seafood feasts.. a wonderful holiday.. We set off with no destination — it's the first island you come to, connected to the mainland by a bridge that looks a lot like the Brooklyn Bridge. We found an apartment straight away through an agency, but there are people everywhere with 'for rent' signs.. 20 euros each for an apartment in a villa with a garden. Restaurant prices are very reasonable, it's not worth cooking. 9/10 euros to eat fish, often fresh and cooked on the spot, plenty of little places around the harbours.. an affordable and very romantic spot.
