The story

Taking advantage of the long weekend for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and the feast of Sant'Ambrogio (in Milan offices are closed), we decide to visit Vienna, one of the (now few) European capitals we have never visited. Winter is certainly cold in Austria, but we're counting on the fact that the Christmas atmosphere and the markets will give the city a fairy-tale feel. We book flight and hotel with Expedia, thus without going through any agency, and we must say that, even though it was our first booking on the web, we were satisfied. With the Lufthansa flight we departed from Linate and, after the stopover in Frankfurt (certainly not convenient, but this stopover lowered the flight price a lot), we arrive in Vienna mid-afternoon.
