Holidays 1979

During the tour of India, we also went to Nepal, to Kathmandu, the capital. A very poor little city, full of people; its Hindu temples are beautiful. In a small bus we climbed above 3,000 m with the intention of seeing the mountain peaks; unfortunately the weather was bad and there was fog. At one point our guide, pointing at a spot in the void, tells us that there was Everest, and only with our imagination did we see it. In the group there were many young people who at one point approached a stall and bought a bar of chocolate, so it seemed to me, but instead it was hashish. In the evening at the hotel, all in one room, I saw how a joint was prepared and then they wanted me to try it; I, who have never smoked, only had the effect of burning my throat and nothing else. Anyway, that was an experience too.

The photos listed are not very beautiful; unfortunately the films, passing through customs checks, were spoiled, then they were printed and finally scanned so they could be put online.
