The story

What can I say... it's really true what they say about the Maldives... they're a true earthly paradise!!! We stayed at the Fihalhohi Resort, to which I give a solid 8!!! It's an international village with a majority of German guests, so the food is international too, with an eye (especially at breakfast) for their culinary habits... so if you go to the Maldives hoping to eat like at home don't choose Fihalhohi; however, as far as I'm concerned, I'm satisfied with the food too, which overall I judge "neither good nor bad"... you certainly don't go hungry and I must say there was always something I liked!!

For the rest, the island is truly fantastic... ideal for anyone who wants a holiday of absolute relaxation and full contact with untouched nature!!! The island is rich in vegetation and the sea is simply spectacular, with the coral reef just a few metres away... it really feels like diving into an aquarium... going to Fihalhohi without a mask and fins is like taking half a holiday!!!

I strongly recommend this island to anyone who, like us, isn't looking for entertainment at all costs (non-existent on the island) but instead prefers tranquillity and absolute contact with nature... and let's say it... with an enviable value for money!!!

If you have the chance, go to the Maldives... a week is enough to forget traffic, stress, the noise of the city, the TV, and... shoes!!!;o)
