The story

if you want to know more or see all the photos visit:

Thirteen hours and 50 minutes of flight and we set foot in the Argentine capital.

The land that immediately makes us imagine the sporting feats of Diego Armando Maradona, the land of Evita Peron, of delicious beef, of the Falklands war, sorry Malvinas, of mate, of the economic crisis of a few years ago...

There isn't even time to breathe the city air before we're in flight again, destination San Carlos de Bariloche.

A mix of Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Tyrolean Austria and alpine Switzerland. A VIP holiday resort on the shores of the lake Wapi Houel.

22. 02. 2010 San Carlos de Bariloche (ARGENTINA)

Sitting on a chairlift we reach a viewpoint that showed us the whole area that hosted us in these days. What a marvel! A postcard spectacle... Lakes, pines, very high mountains with snowy peaks: the Andes!

I felt so small before the immensity of nature...

We set off again shortly after. We go to Chile.

It must be said that the customs checks were rather boring, like the Emirates-Oman border, they checked all our luggage, one by one, but unlike that time, this time I felt calm...

Once in Chile, as if by magic, the whole background changes, the Andes seem to move further and further away, the vegetation thins out, giving way to a monotonous landscape all too similar to the European one...

But fortunately, on the shore of the lake Llanquihue and at the foot of the two majestic snowy volcanoes, the town of Puerto Varas welcomes us.
