04. 10. 2014 Cairns (AUSTRALIA)
At dawn we're in the Australian Queensland: the very peaceful Cairns.
Many questions about our short visit but above all advice (indeed a real psychological terror campaign) about our next destination: Papua New Guinea.
At a certain point I even asked myself whether we'd been too naive or reckless in choosing this destination... The little dogs sniffing the luggage, so many different forms to fill in, questions and various checks... the same scenes seen so many times in episodes of "Airport Security", the Australian customs police... finally we get out and... peace! The little birds chirping among the tall palms give us the "welcome"...
We're staying at the big "Gilligans", a sort of Australian "Jersey Shore Hotel", a building populated by pumped-up, tattooed guys and girls dressed up in heels from 8 in the morning...
We immediately pop into the centre despite the tiredness after 9 hours of flight... two blocks and we end up in a sort of Australian Miami!
We spend almost all our daily budget at the supermarket, taking the opportunity to stock up on a lot of fruit (after almost a month in Japan we really needed it...)
