The story

24. 07. 1999 Dover (ENGLAND)

We are in Great Britain! The crossing of the Channel was very special, slowly leaving France and heading for England was exciting! It was also enlivened by the presence of two very pretty Scottish girls. [Lorna MacPhail from Glasgow, Scotland]: "If you can't make it and don't hold on, go home" Arriving late in the evening in the English capital, I confess I felt a bit lost in the great Victoria Station where everyone was rushing left and right, busy, and we didn't know where to put our tired bones safely and to rest! Great idea! Gatwick Airport. We lay down arms and baggage and fall asleep at once.

25. 07. 1999 London (ENGLAND)

The Madame Tussauds Museum always enchants me! [Takx]: The statues are extremely realistic (some mistook real people for statues), the chamber of horrors is wickedly interesting... We take lots of photos and when we are about to leave London we notice that: the camera was not loaded!!! Panic!

We set off for Oxford where some friends of mine await us... In the university town of Oxford we are welcomed by my dear friend Stephen ("Whiff", to friends); he put a whole three-room flat at our disposal, all for us! After a regenerating shower we are on the road again, destination: The Westminster College where the sweet Cristina is staying. We meet in a nightclub and shortly afterwards both Takx and I find ourselves hidden in the wardrobe of her room so as not to be discovered by her "teacher"! Welcome!

26. 07. 1999 Oxford (ENGLAND)

Since Cristina had a lesson today, we decide to return to my old college at Wheatley, in the hope of seeing my old friends again, first and foremost Marc Poncin. What luck! As soon as we set foot in the college he is precisely the first one I see, he was playing tennis with a Japanese guy! [Takx]: When Marc and Marco met again I stood aside, amazed by the familiarity they had, it seemed they had spent years together... Marc ("Fisherman", to friends) is truly the friendliest! The two spent hours and hours chatting so animatedly, the words that kept recurring were: "girl, fxxk, etc. etc."

27. 07. 1999 London (ENGLAND)

This evening together with Marc and a group of Tunisian, Swedish and Spanish students we spent a wonderful evening aboard a disco-boat on the Thames. Seeing monuments like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge etc. lit up in celebration, while we danced and had fun, was very exciting! We meet some Sicilian girls and stay chatting with them until we reach Oxford. Once in the room, Takx was no longer there! Dead tired I fall asleep early and when I open my eyes it is already late morning and Takx is snoring lying next to me! "But where have you been?"

[Takx]: I was chatting with Francesca (one of the Sicilians) and time flew. Talking with her I discover we have many things in common, many aspects of her personality coincided with mine, I was struck by the fact that she likes a particular kind of humour made of double meanings and constant irony, the kind I use most often! The more I talked to her the more I liked her, at a certain point I could no longer take my eyes off her... I thought... If she had lived near me I would have done anything to win her over!
