In Search of Heidi

This time we really overdid it... we chased a childhood dream... And yes, that sweet little girl who kept us such good company when we were small, we went looking for her there, in the mountains... 'where the world is all blue...' This time the group has grown... yes, a new couple has joined... and frankly I don't know if they'll ever travel with us again... we're too 'active'... nobody can keep up... After visiting the little village of Maienfeld and after about 9 hours of almost continuous travel... we went to visit Zurich... stunning!!! On 26 April we woke very early and went straight to Heidi's grandfather's house, a good twenty km on foot and uphill... I'll just say I didn't walk for 4 days... then we got lost in the woods.. how funny!!! Ha ha ha!!! In the evening we decided to go and eat in St Moritz and went from spring air to deep winter.

St Moritz was in fact covered in snow and it was really evocative... the pizza we ate was exquisite and we didn't even spend much; in fact afterwards we went to play at the casino and we even won!!! On 27, sadly the last day of this little escape, after having missed, for reasons I prefer not to mention, the Bernina Express, a little red train that takes you on a panoramic ride among mountains and valleys, we decided to head back inland and visit Lucerne, and it was really worth it... it's a city with a magical feel.. after lunch, sadly, the journey home....
