The story

To reach Roncesvalles I had to face narrow, steep roads; I was coming from the ocean coast, but a hold-up caused by the Tour de France made me detour via the "pas de Roland", an enchanting place where, for logistical reasons, it wasn't possible to take photos, but the memory is still vivid and beautiful. Once I reached the Roncesvalles pass in the fog, the atmosphere was fascinating, and to think that this place is all that remains of my student memories, but it's also the pleasure of reaching a place I'd only ever heard described.
