The story
We wanted to see Slovenia again. We were struck by the changes after Tito. Ljubljana has become splendid. The Castle tastefully restored, the riverfront lined with small restaurants, a lively but not chaotic life. Lipica with its horses looks like a fairy tale. The famous stables are well worth a visit. Maribor is still a little run-down, but clearly on the rise as a Central European town. It's worth visiting the Postojna caves too (the most famous), but above all the less famous ones near Kozina and the Italian border: Skocjanske Jame.
