Among colleagues at the office we decided to take a trip together, destination Lisbon! Flight with TAP, from Rome, a very good airline; for the hotel we chose a pensão in the centre, “Residencial Pensão Roma” — we were very happy with it, right in the centre, very clean, good breakfast. I recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the centre without spending much. In these few days we managed to see almost everything: Belém, the Castle, Alfama, the Baixa, Parque das Nações, Sintra and Cascais. Of course a ride on the legendary tram 28 is unmissable, and a short trip on the Elevador de Glória is not to be missed either. For dinner I highly recommend the restaurant “Bota Alto”, in the Bairro Alto, where they serve an exceptional bacalhau.
Lisbon charmed us: a city where time seems to have stood still, that invites you to reflect, where the light and the wind bring on melancholic thoughts, the only city where, besides looking up, you look down to admire its splendid pavements.
