08. 08. 2001 Czestochowa (POLAND) With Pedro, despite a few misunderstandings that arose along the way, which I think is normal in a situation like this, things are going very well now. I've learned to be more patient with the people closest to me and even more indifferent to the others. From Warsaw we set off again for Czestochowa. As in all religious places, an unreal silence and peace reigns, broken now and then by the singing coming from the various chapels or by the sermons of the priests saying mass. At the station, while we were getting ready to go to Ostrava, in the Czech Republic, two tramps tried to rob us while Pedro was asleep. At that point we decide to take the first train that comes along, just to get away from Czestochowa, and to stop at the first station we come to. No sooner said than done. We get off and start organising the next leg. We're in Zawiercie.
