Flight Pisa-Helsinki, three days in Helsinki, flight to Rovaniemi, far north as far as the border with Norway, Nordkinn peninsula with an overnight stay in Mehamn, a visit to Gamvik and on towards Nordkapp, Alta, Kautokeino, Rovaniemi, Helsinki and back to Italy. A magical trip, in the name of the far north of Europe. The air seems different from ours. It's a journey in the light and perhaps this is what makes everything you observe magical (though it would be more correct to say admire). I would certainly single out the charming fishing villages of the Nordkinn peninsula, Mehamn and Gamvik (Norway). Suitable for those who want to satisfy their craving to feel at the edge of the world and don't want too many tourists underfoot. I'd also recommend a visit to Kamøyvær, a village on the island of Magerøya about 15 km from Nordkapp.
In Kamøyvær we stayed at the hotel Arran; I assure you that the landscape from midnight onwards is the brightest you've ever seen and the only two hoteliers in the village are a delight. Alta is an interesting Norwegian town for visiting the museum of rock engravings dating back as much as 6,000 years. Don't look for the town "centre" though, because it doesn't exist. This curious town stretches for about 15 km along the coast but has no little square, no church, no cluster of shops that might suggest a centre. The churches and shops are there, but scattered along the 15 km! Another small observation (not only mine but that of all the members of the trip): the Scandinavian people, besides being kind, are also on average rather good-looking, both male and (sigh) female!

Ti ringrazio del commento sul viaggio per ricordare. Cmq la "tua" Norvegia è spledida come le tue foto. Ciao. PS: le Pisane non hanno niente da invidiare al popolo scandinavo!!
