AMSTERDAM... A CITY YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST SEE!! I wandered it far and wide and it never bored me.. We stayed at the Brian Hotel, on the Singel canal, right in the centre and convenient for everything. It's a small hotel with no frills but very cheap, well known to Italians precisely because it's such good value for accommodation. Don't miss anything in Amsterdam: the Van Gogh Museum, Madame Tussauds (the famous wax museum), a boat trip along the canals, and above all the house where Anne Frank lived. I remember there was an endless queue and I waited a very long time in the cold, but it was truly worth it. It's a place full of emotion that will hardly leave you indifferent (if you've read the book)!! Of course you must see the Red Light District... but be patient, because you'll be constantly stopped to go into one of the many "hot" venues..
AMSTERDAM IS A BEAUTIFUL CITY FULL OF VIEWPOINTS AND CORNERS WORTH PHOTOGRAPHING.. It's great to explore on foot or by bike. Allow a bit more than a weekend to enjoy it fully! Ah, the only sore point is the food!! You'll find all kinds of fast food, hot dog stalls, or pizzerias... so to speak... but the only reason you'll want to go home is for our fantastic cuisine, and above all a healthy one!!!!!!
