What to do if you have a stopover in Amsterdam??

Day 112 Apr 2006

Mexico City-Amsterdam

After about 10 hours of travel we finally arrive in Amsterdam; the plane for Rome leaves at 8 pm so we take the opportunity to visit a bit of Amsterdam. Beneath the airport, the convenient train to the city departs, and for just 3.50 euros and 15 minutes we arrive at the central station. From there, with tram 5 (or 1 or 3) we reach the Van Gogh Museum (10 euros), very nice. From the museum, a nice walk (on foot) along the pedestrian streets, passing by the canal, up to Dam Square.
