The story

Beautiful is an understatement. Apart from Amsterdam, which is a spectacle both by day and especially by night, the surroundings of this little town are an absolute must-see. Easily explored by bike, in a few minutes you reach Marken, Monnickendam, Volendam, Edam, Zaandijk, all the way to the great northern dike that closes off the Netherlands from the North Sea. Visit the Kinderdijk windmills... they're worth it...
