The story

We spot a lovely farmhouse in the BELL'ITALIA newspaper, in MONTEFERIDOLFI, SAN CASCIANO (FI), and so we decide to spend a weekend in Tuscany with the whole happy family. The agriturismo VILLA SANT'ANDREA, MONTELODOLI estate, is fabulous, and the scenery around it is truly beautiful and relaxing. Once settled in, we set off for Siena… We visit the beautiful PIAZZA DEL CAMPO and picture THE PALIO; seeing it live must be an amazing thrill, and then we stroll through the various contrade. The second day we go to Florence; with Sara (9) and Lorenzo (2) with us, we explore the city on foot. We start at the BOBOLI GARDEN (a bit run-down in my opinion), then on to the UFFIZI GALLERY and towards SANTA MARIA MAGGIORE… We cross PONTE VECCHIO and head back to our agriturismo to rest a little.

The last day, before heading home, we stop in PISA to see the PIAZZA DEI MIRACOLI and try to work out why the TOWER is so crooked…
