The story

This weekend, taking advantage of a bit of free time and the lovely sunny day, we decided to attend the event "Messer Tulipano e il parco goloso" at the castle of Pralormo in the heart of Piedmont. Along the avenues of the beautiful garden you can watch the spectacular flowering of thousands of tulips and daffodils, and for the joy of the little ones and therefore ours too, that Sunday the programme included the "chocolate egg hunt", so we made Matteo happy too; he much appreciated the Kinder initiative celebrating its 40th anniversary. We arrived in Pralormo around lunchtime, parked the car in the car park set up for the event (cost 1 euro for the whole day, including the shuttle to the castle) and walked towards the event (500 metres). The ticket costs 6.50 euros each (Matteo did not pay) to visit the garden and 5 euros for the castle visit.

I must admit we were all pleasantly struck by the beautiful floral compositions and the various stage sets, like the tree decorated with hundreds of little cups that you can see in the photo. We continued our visit with a wander round the stalls, which naturally sold flowers and plants but also sweets, biscuits and typical local products. Needless to say, we bought a lovely bunch of tulips and some chocolates called mielo, made with honey and liqueur produced in the Canavese area, really delicious, to take home a souvenir of this beautiful day.
