The story

One day, wandering on the internet, I found an itinerary that immediately seemed interesting to me, and moreover not far from Genoa and doable in a few hours. What struck me at once about this valley is that, unlike other much-mentioned tourist spots on the Riviera, I had never heard it named, and so on the first public holiday, in the morning, bright and early, we set off for Sestri Levante. The path began from a small inland village, San Pietro in Frascati; what struck us most, besides of course the caves, were the beautiful cacti we encountered in the first part of our hike. A simple walk, not too demanding, suitable for families too
